Job description

JBS is seeking an hourly Production Lead - 2nd Shift Team Member! The position starts at $24 per hour with a $1 shift differential.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Coordinates activities with production, procurement, maintenance, warehouse, and quality departments to achieve and sustain results.
2. Supports team members by maintaining a visible presence on the production floor.
3. Creates an environment that expresses concern and consistency toward all team members.
4. Promotes cooperation and dedication to superior workmanship among all team members.
5. Provides training for team members on company policies, rules, regulations, and job-specific duties and responsibilities.
6. Monitors and enforces adherence to GMPs and specifications.
7. Encourages the best use of energy and resources with minimal waste.
8. May assume other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Familiar with GMP and HACCP programs; SQF, GMP, and HACCP certification a plus.
• Ability to motivate a diverse workforce and lead by example.
• Ability to coach, train, and take corrective action, including discipline.
• Critical thinking skills and a problem-solving mentality.
• Good math skills.

Physical and Working Conditions:

• May require working on feet for long hours, bending, and stooping.
• Must be able to frequently and regularly use wrists, hands, and fingers.
• Average visual acuity necessary to inspect documents, products, or operate machinery.
• Regularly lift/move up to 10 pounds, frequently up to 25 pounds, and occasionally up to 50 pounds.
• Work in a wet, damp, and cold environment, often around 34°F, for extended periods.
