Job summary

Inova Staffing Services is recruiting a Production Lead for a manufacturer in Mentor, OH. You’ll coordinate overnight production, train employees, and help keep machines, materials, and work orders ready for the next job.

This four-night schedule requires prior manufacturing, team lead or supervisory, and night-shift experience. You’ll use the client’s system to manage production and ensure quality and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Prior team lead or supervisory experience in manufacturing.
• Experience in manufacturing environments.

Responsibilities

• Organize work orders, pick lists, and machine priorities to keep production moving.
• Confirm material availability for upcoming jobs.
• Set up injection molding machines and measure parts when applicable.
• Verify machine programs and revisions match drawings and ensure correct clamps and stops.
• Ensure daily machine checks and changeover sheets are completed.
• Train operators on machine setup, program changes, and changeover documentation.
• Introduce new employees to the area and document their skills.
• Maintain organized tool boards, setup bins, check sheets, and 5S cleanliness.
• Ensure production computers are functioning and in use.
• Assist Document Control in developing work instructions.
• Identify opportunities to improve safety and efficiency and reduce scrap and changeover time.

This position follows a four-night schedule and requires previous manufacturing, team lead or supervisory, and night‑shift experience.

What you’ ll do

• Organize work orders, pick lists, and machine priorities to keep production moving.
• Confirm that the correct materials are available for upcoming jobs.
• Set up injection molding machines and measure parts, or learn these tasks.
• Verify that machine programs and revisions match job drawings and that fixtures have the correct clamps and stops.
• Make sure daily machine checks and changeover check sheets are completed.
• Train operators and setup operators on machine setup, program changes, changeover documentation, and work-in‑process parts.
• Introduce new employees to the work area and document their skills.
• Maintain organized tool boards, setup bins, check sheets, and clean work areas using 5S practices.
• Check that production computers are working and being used.
• Help Document Control develop work instructions.
• Identify ways to improve safety and efficiency while reducing scrap and changeover time.

What you’ ll need

• Previous experience working night shift.
• Experience using a production or business management system; the client’ s specific system requirement will be confirmed.
• Ability to work the listed overnight schedule in Mentor.
