Job summary

Finlays Solutions is seeking a Production Lead to ensure safe, high-quality production. You will oversee filling, packaging, and rework per work orders, maintaining GMP-compliant processes and SOP adherence. Lead and mentor the team, drive training programs, and maintain equipment sanitation procedures

Responsibilities include monitoring quality, supporting CQP tests, and assisting with minor maintenance to minimize downtime while upholding safety standards and production targets.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated leadership in a manufacturing setting.
  • Ability to train and mentor operators on equipment and procedures.
  • Knowledge of GMPs, SOPs, SSOPs, HACCP, SQF, and safety practices.

Responsibilities

  • Lead by example and ensure SOPs, GMPs, safety, and quality policies are followed.
  • Train and mentor filler operators on setup, operation, sanitation, and changeovers.
  • Maintain and deliver progressive training for the assigned team and ensure goals are met.
  • Oversee filling and packaging processes to match work orders and specifications.
  • Ensure proper sterilization and cleaning using COP, CIP, and SIP.
  • Monitor product quality and process parameters; perform CQP testing as needed.
  • Assist with minor equipment maintenance to prevent downtime.

They oversee the filling, packaging, handling, and reworking of products according to work order specifications while maintaining GMP-compliant processes and procedures.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Lead by example and ensure all established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), Safety, and Quality policies are followedTrain and mentor filler operators on equipment setup, operation, sanitation, changeovers, and production procedures while ensuring defined goals are being metMaintain and deliver progressive training for the assigned team: ensuring individual members are trained properly in accordance with production training packetsDevelop and teach high-impact production operators on all aspects of the jobOversee product filling and packaging processes, ensuring accuracy and adherence to work order specificationsUphold comprehensive training for safe and efficient use of filler machines, HMIs, and other related systemsOnboarding new hire in area of responsibility and actively provide the training needed.Ensure all equipment and components undergo proper sterilization and cleaning using COP, CIP, and SIP proceduresResponsible for monitoring and maintaining the quality of the product and processesOversee performance of regular CQP testing to validate seal integrity and product specificationsAssist with minor equipment maintenance and repairs to prevent downtime.Responsible for overseeing material levels while the line produces products at the standard rate and meeting customer specificationsResponsible for the documentation of products for the filler and capper machines, including taking weights, teardowns to check the integrity of the cartons, assuring caps are on properly, downtime recording, and documenting necessary information on the sanitation logUnderstand and maintain proper process flow with accuracy and consistency, making necessary adjustments to machinery as neededKnowledge and understanding of basic computer and control systems.
