Job summary

Better Being Co. in Utah is seeking a detail‑oriented warehouse associate to receive, store, and distribute materials, read production schedules, and move items using hand trucks, electric carts, or forklifts.

You will assemble orders, record quantities, and may enter records in a computer; leadership in the absence of a supervisor is expected. The role emphasizes safety, teamwork, and maintaining an organized work area.

Qualifications

  • Experience with hand truck, forklift and/or lifts for material handling.
  • High school diploma or GED; 3–6 months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Good written and verbal skills.
  • Ability to perform basic arithmetic and follow instructions.

Responsibilities

  • Receive, store and distribute material, tools, equipment and products within facilities.
  • Read production schedules, work orders, or requisitions to determine items to be moved or distributed.
  • Convey materials using hand truck, electric hand truck, or forklift.
  • Assemble orders from stock and place on pallets or shelves or convey to packaging/shipping.
  • Record quantities received or distributed; may enter records into a computer; may maintain inventory records.
  • May take on a leadership role in the absence of a supervisor.
  • Support company policies, maintain a clean work area, and support teamwork.

Job Summary

Under limited supervision, performs duties following established procedures in the following areas:

Essential Functions
  • receive, store and distribute material, tools, equipment and products within facilities.
  • Reads production schedule, work order, or requisition to determine items to be moved, gathered or distributed.
  • Conveys materials and items from receiving or production areas to storage or to other designated areas by hand, hand truck, electric hand truck, or forklift.
  • Assembles orders from stock and places orders on pallets or shelves or conveys orders to packaging or shipping department.
  • Record the amount of materials or items received or distributed.
  • May use computer to enter records.
  • May maintain inventory records.
  • May take on leadership role in the absence of supervisor.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Support of and involvement in company, department, and/or safety policies, procedures, programs and activities.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
  • Support teamwork to attain department objectives.
Job Qualifications
  • Must have experience with hand truck, forklift and/or lifts for material handling.
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Good written and verbal skills are necessary.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
Physical Requirements

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk or hear; and taste or smell. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include near acuity, far acuity, depth perception, accommodation, color vision, and field of vision. May be exposed to considerable noise from machinery.
