Better Being Co. is seeking a maintenance technician to analyze mechanical and operational issues, perform preventive maintenance, and adjust equipment for optimal production and quality.
You will test and validate repairs, support changeovers, and ensure documentation of issues and corrective actions in a fast-paced manufacturing setting. The role requires a certificate or equivalent, experience with PLCs, and the ability to read safety and operating manuals.

Under limited supervision, performs duties following established procedures in the following areas:
Analyzes mechanical and operational problems on assigned equipment and plans for and takes corrective action. Makes necessary correction and running adjustments to maintain maximum production and quality. Reviews production schedule and when equipment is not scheduled for manufacturing, changes over equipment to new sizes or performs scheduled maintenance. Tests equipment to check operation. Clears jams and sets aside product for inspection and rework. Tries out equipment after repairs, changeovers or extended downtime. Examines, tests, and measures product from assigned equipment for quality specifications, using gauges and instruments, and records data on appropriate forms. Checks product for visual defects. Makes preventive maintenance check and inspection of assigned equipment, and reports findings to supervisor and takes appropriate action. Analyzes and records cause of production delays on daily production report. Notifies maintenance department or supervisor of recurring equipment malfunctions and corrective action taken, and of quality problems or supplies needed. Additional Responsibilities May direct the activities of the janitorial staff and building maintenance. Willingness to work rotating shifts. Develops among assigned personnel a consciousness for the need for team work to attain department objectives. Support of and involvement in company, department, and/or safety policies, procedures, programs and activities. Maintain a clean and orderly work area. Other duties as assigned.
One- year certificate from college or technical school with at least five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Candidates must also have a working knowledge of PLC's specializing in manufacturing use. Experience with roll-up doors, forklifts, order pickers preferred. Experience with low and high voltage AC/DC electrical experience preferred. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Good verbal and written communication skills are necessary. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear. The employee must exert up to 75 lbs. of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 lbs. of force frequently, and/or up to 20 lbs. of force constantly to move objects. Specific vision abilities required by this job include near acuity, far acuity, depth perception, accommodation, color vision, and field of vision. May be required to wear a respirator due to dusty environment and exposed to considerable noise from machinery.
