Job summary

CRH is seeking a Production Lead for our Newnan, GA facility to support the Production Supervisor in ensuring safe, on-schedule operations. You will liaise between frontline staff and management to relay important information and maintain smooth production flow.

You will enforce safety policies, coordinate training, monitor attendance, and lead shift meetings. This role requires basic math, tape measure reading, and teamwork in a plant environment with both indoor and outdoor work conditions.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Experience in production/manufacturing is required; concrete manufacturing is a plus.
  • Candidates should communicate effectively with team members.
  • Good attendance and a positive attitude are expected.
  • Experience leading people is a plus.
  • Basic tools and their uses should be understood.
  • Basic math skills (add, subtract, divide, multiply) are required.
  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs regularly.
  • Ability to work in a plant environment with indoor/outdoor exposure to noise, dust, and hot equipment.
  • Ability to read measurements and tape measures.
  • Familiarity with computer software is preferred.
  • Team orientation is essential.

Responsibilities

  • Enforce safety policies and report issues to management.
  • Enter safety data into compliance software as directed.
  • Execute production schedule and adjust gaps as needed.
  • Fill in by working in production when gaps occur.
  • Ensure employees receive required training (compliance, safety, technical).
  • Package production documents for processing.
  • Maintain attendance records and payroll-aligned schedules.
  • Lead shift meetings and communicate information to staff.
  • Coordinate with other departments to share information.
  • Inspect work progress and equipment to ensure safety and specifications.
  • Maintain open communication between team and management.
  • Balance team and individual responsibilities.
  • Other duties may be assigned as needed.

Job Summary

The Production Lead will work directly supporting the Production Supervisor to ensure that all assignments for the team are carried out safely and successfully. They will execute on posted schedules and inform employees of important information as directed by the Supervisor, acting as a liaison between the front‑line employees and management.

Job Responsibilities
  • Enforce company policies and safety regulations, reporting any issues identified immediately to management or addressing them directly if needed.
  • Enter safety‑related information into company compliance software as directed.
  • Execute the production schedule as posted and determine if there are any gaps or changes needed.
  • Fill in by working in production when gaps are noted.
  • Ensure that employees receive appropriate training (i.e., compliance, safety, or technical training) as needed.
  • Package production documents for processing.
  • Maintain accurate attendance information and authorize work schedules according to the guidelines for payroll purposes.
  • Can be asked to lead shift meetings and communicate information to employees as directed by the manager.
  • Communicate with other departments to share information as directed.
  • Examine and inspect work progress and equipment to verify safety and ensure that specifications are met.
  • Maintain open lines of communication between team members and management.
  • Balance team and individual responsibilities.
  • Other responsibilities may be assigned on a temporary or permanent basis as needed.
Job Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Prior experience in production/manufacturing required, experience in a concrete manufacturing setting a plus.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with team members.
  • Demonstrated role model with a good attendance record and positive attitude.
  • Experience leading people in some capacity is a plus.
  • Knowledge of basic tools and their uses.
  • Understand and apply basic math skills (adding, subtracting, division, & multiplication).
  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. regularly.
  • Must be able to work in a plant production environment involving indoor & outdoor work, exposure to noise, dust, and proximity to hot equipment.
  • This job involves walking, climbing stairs/ladders, standing, bending, stretching, and using hands and fingers to hold, grasp, push, and lift items.
  • Knowledge of basic measurements and how to read a tape measure.
  • Knowledge of computer software.
  • Team oriented.
