Job Responsibilities
Production Shift Lead
About the Role

Responsible for assisting the Production Supervisor with daily operations of the production floor, ensuring safety, quality, and production goals are met in compliance with all legal and food safety standards.

  • Assist the Production Supervisor in daily shift activities, ensuring product quality and safety standards are maintained.
  • Set priorities and coordinate with the production team to utilize resources effectively, assigning duties as needed.
  • Support communication between shifts regarding challenges and opportunities on the production lines.
  • Conduct walkthroughs to verify safety, cleanliness, and quality compliance.
  • Support the preparation of hourly and end-of-shift production reports.
  • Ensure operators use Efficiency Tracking Tools and communicate downtime appropriately.
  • Follow all safety, GMP, and food safety guidelines.
  • Maintain regular attendance and work 12-hour shifts on a rotating schedule as required.
  • Collaborate with senior management on special projects.
  • Have a basic understanding of computer programs such as Microsoft Office, SAP, and Amcor-specific systems.
About You

Three to five years of experience in a manufacturing environment with increasing responsibilities.

Physical Requirements
  • Normal vision, hearing, sitting, standing, walking, and speaking.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds, and perform physical activities like stooping, bending, kneeling, climbing, and driving forklifts.
