Production Lead

This position is responsible for collaborating with the Production Supervisor to assist with daily operations of the production floor, ensuring the shift meets safety, quality, and production goals in compliance with all legal and food safety standards.

Essential Functions

  • Assist the Production Supervisor with daily shift activities, ensuring product safety, quality, and throughput standards are met.
  • Communicate with the previous shift about challenges and opportunities on the production lines.
  • Conduct walkthroughs to verify safety, housekeeping, and quality compliance.
  • Assist with batching minerals (if applicable) and preparing lines for changeovers.
  • Order and inspect raw materials before changeovers to ensure correct inventories; perform quality checks post-changeover.
  • Verify jobs are correct in Oracle, Warehouse Management System, and/or Line Management System.
  • Support with hourly and end-of-shift production reports.
  • Use Efficiency Improvement Tools to analyze downtime and escalate issues appropriately.
  • Follow safety programs, GMP, and Food Safety Standards diligently.
  • Maintain regular attendance.
  • Work 12-hour shifts on a rotating schedule as needed.
