Job summary

Pilgrim’s in Cohutta, GA is seeking a supervisor to oversee hatchery operations, egg handling, and staff scheduling. You will hire/train workers, ensure safety and bio-security, and manage production of healthy baby chicks for broiler grow-out. Strong supervisory and hatchery knowledge required.

Qualifications include 2 years in processing/manufacturing, HS diploma or GED (degree preferred), and proficiency with MS Office. Benefits include 60-day vision/medical/dental, PTO, and 401(k) matching.

Job description

This position will work with breeder servicemen and will supervise and monitor hatchery production, egg pickup, inventory, and egg breakout at the lowest possible cost. The position will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following duties:

1. Maintain accurate records and be able to direct the workforce.
2. Hire and train personnel.
3. Monitor safety rules and regulations.
4. Set schedule.
5. Observe all Bio-Security programs.
6. Oversee and monitor a safe working environment.
7. Oversee the production of healthy baby chicks for broiler grown out.
8. Other duties as assigned.

BASIC SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

• Two years’ experience in a processing or manufacturing environment.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENT
