Job summary

MCC Label in Fullerton, CA is seeking a dedicated kitting associate to gather, kit and stage components for upcoming production orders and assist press operators during changeovers.

You will maintain communication with the production team, learn inventory processes and press terminology, and prepare kits accurately for each job.

This role emphasizes safety, 6S and Lean practices while following the press schedule and supporting continuous process improvements.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write, and comprehend instructions and SOPs in English.
• Ability to perform basic math with units of measure.
• Basic computer skills.
• Willing to work OT and weekends as scheduled.
• Trustworthy, flexible, and dependable with good attendance.
• Organized, detail-oriented, and able to handle high volumes of work.
• Strong problem-solving skills and Lean 6S mindset.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in an organized manner.

Responsibilities

• Maintain communication with the production team.
• Learn inventory processes and press terminology.
• Learn company specialized software and perform tasks within the system.
• Accurately prepare a kit for each upcoming production job.
• Follow the press schedule and stage the next job for press per workorder and SOP.
• Assist with changeover activities, including wash-up and set-up.
• Disassemble kits and return cleaned/unused items to storage locations.
• Act as a resource for pressroom production to reduce downtime and improve productivity.
• Monitor inventory levels of auxiliary supplies at press and replace as needed.
• Monitor scrap/waste containers and replace as needed.
• Match, mix, and prepare color to customer samples or Pantone guides.
• Communicate concerns and status of production orders to supervisors.
• Follow safety and housekeeping rules; maintain 6S standards.
• Participate in process improvement initiatives.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
