Job summary

The Brodkin Group is seeking a Material Handling associate in Rockford, IL. This regular full-time role involves pulling inventory parts, assembling kits, and delivering them to assembly stations to support efficient manufacturing workflows.

The weekend shift runs three 12-hour days (Fri, Sat, Sun) from 6:00am to 6:30pm with a 22% weekend differential of gross earnings per bi-weekly pay period. High school diploma and at least 1 year forklift & crane experience required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Minimum one year forklift experience.
• Minimum one year overhead crane experience.
• Prior experience with ERP systems is required.
• Good verbal communication skills are required.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.

Responsibilities

• Kits stock and/or sales order jobs from the work center priority list based on what is ready to be kitted and coming due.
• Routes kitted jobs to their designated staging areas.
• Routes kitted jobs to next operation based on the priority order the foremen assigns those jobs.
• Picks up all green tagged parts and takes them to the next staging area whether for OPPNT, painted in-house, outside operation, etc.
• Puts away stock or sales order parts that are not ready for kitting in the designated location. The location may be a temporary area in the Weld Warehouse.
• Manufacturing receipts stock parts into inventory.
• Maintains a clean and safe work environment. Reports defective tools and equipment.

Salary Range: $19.00 To $23.00 Hourly

Responsible for collecting, organizing, and preparing all necessary parts, hardware, and components required for specific manufacturing work orders. By accurately pulling items from inventory and delivering organized "kits" directly to assembly stations, this role plays a critical part in reducing production downtime and maintaining efficient manufacturing workflows.

The weekend shift is three 12-hour days (Friday, Saturday, Sunday) from 6:00am to 6:30pm (includes ½-hour lunch period). Caldwell provides a weekend shift differential of 22% of gross earnings per bi-weekly pay period.

Job Duties:

Physical Requirements:

Frequently required to stand, sit, walk and stoop; bend, kneel or crouch; talk or hear. Regularly required to lift or move up to 50 pounds. Must be able to see with corrected vision to nearly 20/20 or better and be able to differentiate colors.
