  • Lead and train a dedicated nutrition services team.

  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and district food service regulations.

  • Coordinate high-quality procurement of food in collaboration with the Assistant Director of Nutrition Services.

  • Develop and test new recipes and standards for our menus and scratch-cooked meals.

  • Promote our meal program to students, parents, and the community.

  • Manage software-based systems for orders, inventory, recipes, and production records.

  • Support special events such as catering, chef demos, and tastings.

  • Champion food safety through HACCP and Serve Safe practices.

  • Foster a positive team culture through coaching, training, and shared goals.

  • Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent experience) in Culinary Arts, Nutrition, or Food Service or Associates Degree in Culinary Arts plus 2 years' experience as Sous Chef

  • Serve Safe Certification (or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire)

  • First Aid/CPR Certification preferred

  • Catering experience a plus
