Job summary

Zenix Aerospace AMT/Damar is seeking a Production Janitor to maintain a clean, safe, and organized machine shop environment. You will clean CNC machines, tooling, and related equipment, manage waste and recycling, and support daily production operations.

The role requires strong attention to detail, the ability to lift up to 50 pounds, and the stamina to stand and perform repetitive tasks. You must follow safety protocols, 5S standards, and work with minimal supervision in a fast paced aerospace

• Able to lift 40-50 lbs and perform physical tasks such as standing, bending, and reaching throughout the shift.

Responsibilities

• Perform regular cleaning of CNC machines, tooling, and related equipment, including chip removal, wipe-downs, and coolant/oil cleanup.
• Empty waste containers, and recycling areas as required.
• Inspect equipment during cleaning for signs of wear, leaks, or potential maintenance issues and report findings to supervisors or maintenance personnel.
• Assist with preventive maintenance tasks such as filter replacement, and coolant management (as trained).
• Follow all shop safety protocols, including proper use of PPE, lockout/tagout procedures (when required), and safe handling of chemicals and cleaning products.
• Maintain cleaning logs, supply inventories, and documentation as needed.
• Support machine operators with basic shop tasks when requested.
• Help ensure compliance with 5S or other organizational standards for cleanliness and efficiency.
• Other duties as assigned

Job Description:

The Production Janitor is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and organized work environment within the machine shop. Work Environment and Physical Demands:

This environment may include exposure to noise, dust, fumes and vapor from coolant, etc. Individuals must stand for much of the workday. Work activities involve combinations of walking, climbing, pushing, pulling, bending, lifting and carrying and standing for extended periods and performing some very repetitive activities. Work requires the ability to see, hear and smell in order to detect problems. The work requires the ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds. Salary Offering:

$22.00 per hour to $27.00 per hour

M-TH, 6:00am - 4:30pm
