PURPOSE:

TheProductionInternship position is meant to provide currentundergradstudents an introduction to work through related experiences in their degree interests.The fall internship is a twelve-to-sixteen-week program in the months of September-December.Internships are paid. Requests for college credit are supported.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Internship will provide an overviewtothe variousProductionDepartment's function and basicday to dayjob responsibilities providingstudentsan exploratory environment in theearly stagesof their career development.
• Work may require team and independent tasks.
• Assist with reviewing and verifying QA sign-off documentation for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with established procedures.
• Assistproduction managers.
• Support continuous improvement audits by gathering information, documenting observations, tracking findings, and identifying opportunities for process improvement.
• Track production metrics: output, downtime, efficiency, etc.
• Provide backup administrative support to the production team, including documentation, data entry, reporting, and other day-to-day operational needs.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Must be able to remain in a stationary position throughout much of the working day. Ability to operate a computer and other office productivity equipment. Ability to occasionally move about inside the office and food processing facilities. Capable of working in hot and cold environments (working temperatures as hot as 100° to 105° F and as cold as -20° F to 32° F); must be able to work in a high noise area.

STARTINGWAGE: $17.75 - $22.00(dependent on year in college)
