Job summary

Martin Marietta's Production Internship provides hands-on experience in the aggregates mining industry. Reporting to a Plant Manager, you will learn plant operations, equipment usage, safety practices, and production processes.

You will gain knowledge in drilling and blasting fundamentals, quality control, maintenance, leadership principles, and continuous improvement projects while collaborating with operations, maintenance, quality control, and leadership teams.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in mining engineering, construction management, civil engineering, mechanical engineering, or related field.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to work around heavy outdoor equipment.

Responsibilities

• Follow and promote safety, environmental, and ethical standards in all activities.
• Support daily plant operations and learn the complete aggregates production process.
• Assist with drilling and blasting activities, including drill pattern layouts and blast prep.
