Job summary

Pilgrim’s Sanford is hiring energetic individuals for full‑time production roles on multiple shifts. Starting pay is $19.55/hour with a $1.50 shift differential on 2nd shift and $1.50 on 3rd, plus occasional weekends.

Benefits begin after 60 days, including vision, medical, and dental coverage; paid time off after one year; and a 401(k) with company match. You will cut, trim, and fabricate products on a production line, lift and move items, and follow USDA and Pilgrim’s guidelines.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Food or production experience preferred.
• Ability to stand 8–11 hours per day.
• Ability to work in a production line and lift heavy items.
• Must maintain good personal hygiene.

Responsibilities

• Cut, trim, and fabricate products on a production line.

Salary

$35,984.00 to $38,688.00/year

Schedule

1st shift Starting pay rate: ($19.55) Monday to Friday – Some weekend work required, From: 7:12 am to 4:30pm

2nd shift Starting pay rate: ($19.55) + $1.50 shift differential, Monday to Friday – Some weekend work required, From: 4:15 pm to until completed

3rd shift Starting pay rate: ($20.55) + $1.50 shift differential, Sunday to Thursday – some weekend work required. From: 11:00 pm to 8:00 am

The applicant who fills the position will be eligible for the following compensation and benefits

Responsibilities

• Position requires individuals to cut, trim, and fabricate products in a production line setting
• Ability to lift, push, and pull product in a hot and/or cold assembly line environment
• Ability to work with sharp instruments
• Must maintain good personal hygiene
• Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Processes product using tools (to include knives), manual labor, and equipment provided in accordance with USDA and Pilgrim’s Company product standards and procedures.
• Process product according to operating procedures and quality/quantity expectations.
• Observes equipment operation, notifying appropriate personnel of any malfunctions and/or safety issues/concerns.
• Clean and organized work area.
• Assist others with the skills and knowledge gained from the position.
• Observes all company personnel, quality, safety, and food safety policies. Maintains a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a manner so that you work effectively and cooperatively with customers, clients, co‑workers, and leadership teams.
• Recognizes and acts on incidents and safety risks. Consistently practices and enforces safe work habits and drives those habits throughout the organization.
• Participates in process improvement and problem solving utilizing continuous improvement and rational thinking methodologies.
• Follow all company animal welfare guidelines.
• Other duties as directed.
