Job summary

Packrite HP in High Point, NC is seeking a full-time General Labor/Helper to support production with a focus on safety, quality, and efficiency. The role involves reading and following instructions, training teammates, and assisting operators with the folder/gluer process.

The position requires basic reading/writing, ability to interpret safety rules, and the stamina to stand, lift up to 35 lbs, and work a core schedule from 4:45 PM to 5:00 AM, with possible overtime.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required or preferred.
• Equivalent training or experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Read, write and communicate with others.
• Train other crew members.
• Interpret safety rules, job jacket instructions, quality requirements, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedures.
• Assist operator with folder/gluer and properly feed flat cartons/boxes into the gluer feed gate based on configuration.
• Assist operator with make-ready for next job.
• Support continuous safety and improvement efforts to ensure a safe work environment.
• Monitor quality of production.
• Locate stock, load and stack according to size, shape and quantity to support machine efficiency.
• Apply detailed written or oral instructions with common sense.
• Keep the work area clean and tidy; blow dust off, wipe machines, sweep and mop.
• Multi-task, troubleshoot, problem solve, and use critical thinking.
• Review job jackets for customer orders and complete orders timely and accurately.
• Ensure production meets customer requirements with regular inspections.
• Achieve production and efficiency goals.
