Job summary

Amcor is seeking a General Labor associate to support plastic film production, performing quality checks, assisting operators, and maintaining safe, efficient workflows on the line.

You will stand for long periods, lift and move rolls and materials, and help with packaging and storage. A high school diploma or equivalent and manufacturing experience are preferred, with training on equipment provided.

Provides general labor support in the production of plastic film by assisting with machine operation, material handling, quality checks, and packaging. Ensures production runs efficiently by supporting the operator and maintaining proper workflow, organization, and safety standards.

Essential Job Functions

  • Performs regular quality checks on production rolls, including edges, wrinkles, flare outs, core extension, and weight accuracy, and reports issues to the operator
  • Pulls finished rolls from the winder and prepares them for packaging
  • Packages and labels finished products according to order specifications
  • Moves finished products to designated holding areas using appropriate equipment
  • Cuts and prepares cores for production use
  • Stages and maintains necessary supplies at the production line for ongoing and next-shift operations
  • Assists the operator during production and downtime to ensure continuous operation
  • Performs visual inspections to ensure product quality standards are met
  • Maintains housekeeping and cleanliness of assigned work areas
  • Follows all safety policies and procedures at all times

Physical Requirements

  • Prolonged standing and walking throughout the shift
  • Frequent lifting, carrying, and stacking of rolls and materials
  • Repetitive bending, reaching, twisting, and movement
  • Ability to push/pull and handle materials during production and packaging
  • Ability to climb stairs and move between work areas
  • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks in a manufacturing environment

Minimum Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Manufacturing experience preferred
  • Ability to safely operate or be trained on material handling equipment
  • Ability to follow safety, quality, and production procedures
