Optimal Staffing in Flint, MI is seeking a Production Group Supervisor to supervise and coordinate the activities of production and operating workers on site. The role emphasizes safety, accountability, and hands-on leadership on the plant floor.

You will work with cross-functional teams to meet deadlines, manage a team of 15–25 employees, and ensure timely production and quality control. This is an onsite position with shift rotation and strong emphasis on meeting performance targets.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; Associate's degree or higher preferred.
• 1-2 years of managerial experience preferred, ideally in a union environment.
• Knowledge of supply chain/material movement is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Recommend measures to motivate employees and to improve production methods, equipment performance, product quality, or efficiency.
• Review operations and confer with technical or administrative staff to resolve production or processing problems.
• Develop and implement production tracking and quality control systems, analyzing production, quality control, and maintenance to detect production problems.
• Hire, train, evaluate, and discharge staff, and resolve personal grievances.
• Prepare and maintain production reports and personnel records.
