We're looking for a careful and dependable Forklift Operator to join our Fresh Cut Greens department on 2nd Shift. In this role, you will safely and efficiently move materials and products throughout our production floor, warehouses, storage areas, and trailers. Your attention to safety, accuracy, and product handling will help ensure materials are in the right place at the right time to support our operations.
What You'll Do
As a Forklift Operator, you will:
- Safely operate a stand-up forklift to move palletized materials and finished products throughout the facility.
- Move pallets into multi-level "out" racking and semi-tractor trailers.
- Deliver product and materials to production lines according to operational needs.
- Follow proper product rotation and inventory control practices, including bringing the oldest product to the production line first.
- Stack and label boxes on 40" x 48" wood pallets according to customer specifications.
- Ensure pallets are properly stacked, secured, and wrapped for safe handling and transportation.
- Safely perform lifting, stacking, and material-handling activities.
- Follow all safety procedures and regulations governing forklift and equipment operation.
- Complete daily preventive maintenance inspection forms for all equipment operated.
- Report equipment malfunctions, damage, or safety concerns to the appropriate supervisor.
- Maintain accurate records and follow established operating procedures.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors, production team members, and other departments.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
What You Need to Succeed
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience operating a stand-up forklift.
- Basic math and computer skills.
- Ability to pass a basic Vision and Math Test.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and awareness of surroundings.
- Ability to follow instructions and established safety procedures.
- Ability to complete assignments accurately, timely, and safely.
- Ability to maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced production and warehouse environment.
- Ability to work in a refrigerated/cold environment.
- Ability to sit for extended periods while operating equipment.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Strong depth perception and long-distance vision required.
- Clean driving record and valid state driver's license may be required.

- Work is performed throughout an expansive refrigerated production and warehouse facility.
- Production and warehouse temperatures average approximately 34-38°F.
- Exposure to loud equipment and production noise.
- Heavy forklift and pedestrian traffic.
- Regular standing, walking, bending, and maneuvering on concrete flooring.
- Frequent operation of industrial equipment and movement of palletized materials.
- May require sitting for extended periods while operating a forklift.
- Requires the ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Strong depth perception and long-distance vision are required for safe forklift operation.
- Must be comfortable working in a cold, fast-paced production environment.
