Job summary

Greenyard USA CO. is seeking experienced Forklift Operators to join our team. You will optimize loads to improve operational efficiency in our manufacturing plant, where work areas are refrigerated.

A high school diploma and 2 years forklift experience are required, along with knowledge of material handling equipment, safety focus, and good math and communication skills. You will operate stand-up, reach, and sit-down forklifts and use RF scanners to support inventory accuracy.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 2 years’ forklift operating experience (stand-up, reach, sit-down).
• Knowledge of material handling equipment and safety regulations.
• Proficient math skills and ability to work in a cold environment.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities; flexible schedule.

Responsibilities

• Operate stand-up, sit-down, reach forklift, and pallet jack.
• Use wireless RF scanning to ensure inventory accuracy.
• Follow GMP procedures and food safety policies.
• Pick, wrap, and stage orders for shipment.
• Perform cycle counts and maintain clean dock areas.
• Identify safety hazards and inspect equipment.

In this position, your chief responsibility as a Forklift Operator is to optimize loads to ensure operational efficiency within our manufacturing plant. This position is exposed to multiple refrigerated areas.

Skill and Experience Requirements:

• High School diploma/GED required.
• 2 years’ experience operating powered forklifts (Stand-up, reach and sit-down).
• Knowledge of various material handling equipment.
• Proficient in mathematics.
• Understanding of OSHA regulations.
• Possess a high regard for safety in the workplace.
• Effective problem-solving abilities.
• Attention to detail.
• Good written and verbal communication.
• Willingness to work in a cold environment.
• Must be well-organized and have the ability to prioritize tasks.
• Physically capable of lifting up to 40 lbs. unassisted.
• Able to work a flexible schedule.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Ability to multitask.
• Have reliable transportation to be to work on time as scheduled.

BASIC JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Follow all GMP procedures.
• Follow all Food Safety, Food Quality Safety Policies.
• Operate stand-up, sit-down, reach forklift, and pallet jack.
• Use wireless RF scanning equipment to ensure the accuracy of inventory.
• Adhere to quality and customer service standards set forth by the company.
• Perform cycle counts as required.
• Pick, wrap, and stage orders to be shipped.
• Consolidate partial pallets for incoming goods.
• Keep the dock area and coolers clean of debris.
• Identify safety hazards in the workplace.
• Inspect and perform maintenance of forklifts and other material handling equipment.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

While performing the duties of this job, the associate will be required to perform repetitive movements (i.e., bending, stooping, pushing). The associate regularly works near moving mechanical parts and is regularly exposed to extreme cold. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

• Ability to stand for extended periods.
• Ability to move about within a fast-paced environment in/outside the facility.
• Ability to ascend/descend stairs/ladder for repairs.
• Ability to frequently move, push, or carry items up to 40 lbs.
• Exposed to a cold environment of 30 to 42 degrees. Ability to work in outdoor weather conditions.
• Must be able to detect, identify, inspect, observe, and assess surroundings.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

The normal working environment requires routine and frequent meeting of critical deadlines.
