Job summary

DanHil Containers in Dallas, TX is seeking a Production Forklift Operator to safely move materials on the production floor, load trucks, and support packaging with a propane-powered sit-down forklift.

Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled and adaptable Production Forklift Operator to join our team. This role requires flexibility, as daily duties may change based on staffing and production needs. The primary responsibility is to operate a propane-powered sit-down industrial forklift to push, pull, lift, stack, tier, or move products, equipment, or materials within the production floor, warehouse, and trailers—with and without pallets.

Successful candidates will thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality operations while following all company safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities
  • Material Handling:
    • Transport raw corrugated sheets and finished products within the facility.
    • Load and unload trucks, including flatbeds and dry vans.
    • Pull corrugated sheet bundles to supply production machines and assembly areas.
  • Production Support:
    • Work closely with coworkers and supervisors to complete daily assigned tasks efficiently.
    • Ensure proper handling, placement, and movement of materials to maintain a steady production flow.
  • Quality Control:
    • Inspect materials and finished products to ensure they meet company quality standards.
    • Verify the correct product is loaded in the correct work area to prevent errors.
  • Workplace Maintenance:
    • Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
    • Follow all safety procedures to prevent workplace accidents.
  • Safety Compliance & Equipment Maintenance:
    • Perform routine forklift inspections and maintenance to ensure optimal performance.
    • Report any defects, malfunctions, or safety concerns to supervisors immediately.
    • Adhere to all workplace safety protocols and PPE requirements

  • Experience:
    • 1+ years of experience operating a propane-powered sit-down industrial forklift (Required).
  • Physical Requirements:
    • Ability to stand for prolonged periods, lift materials, and perform repetitive tasks in a fast-paced environment.
    • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds as part of regular job duties.
  • Skills & Knowledge:
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective interaction with coworkers and supervisors.
    • Basic math skills, including fractions, unit conversions, and measurements for accurate inventory and production calculations.
  • Work Environment:
    • Comfortable working in noisy environments and varying conditions.
  • Scheduling:
    • Flexibility to work weekends and extended shifts as needed.
  • Reliability:
    • Strong attendance and punctuality are essential for maintaining production schedules.
