We are a leading manufacturer of a wide range of healthy and great tasting breakfast and snack products. We're looking for a Production Foreman at our facility in Junction City. POSITION: Production Foreman

REPORTS: Production Management

SUMMARY: The primary responsibility of this position is to oversee the coordination of production activities within the facility.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Carrying out production objectives while meeting strict quality control standards and ensuring a safe working environment.
  • Production reporting: including efficiency, waste and time management.
  • Able to generate reports from production reports.
  • Employee training, identification of talent and areas for improvement
  • Troubleshooting process issues and executing corrective actions.
  • Successfully learn functionality and flow of production equipment and processes
  • Liaising with other Supervisors and departments including Quality Control and Maintenance and warehouse.
  • Supervise within a 24/7 operation, including nights and weekends.
  • Other tasked as assigned.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A minimum of 3 years' experience in a supervisory or lead hand role in a manufacturing environment; preference will be given to candidates with direct experience in the food processing industry.
  • Proficient in MS office, Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
  • Demonstrated superior decision making and problem-solving abilities.
  • Able to work successfully in team building and independent problem solving
  • Efficiency in time management and prioritizing urgency of given situations
  • Strong record of working with tight deadlines and high volumes of product.
  • Highly motivated and efficient while possessing both interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proven mechanical aptitude; and basic troubleshooting skills
  • Adept at working directly with production personnel in a professional manner
  • Understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices and HACCP as it relates to food production
  • Ability to speak, read and write English fluently as it pertains to fulfilling job requirements

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Standing and walking up to 8 hours
  • Lifting and carry 25 to 50 lbs.
  • Continually bending, stooping, twisting, use arms, wrists and hands (including grasping and squeezing) throughout shift
  • Occasionally kneeling, reaching above the shoulder, working at heights and climbing steps with ingredients weighing 25 to 50 lbs.

WORK CONDITIONS:

  • Candidates must be willing to cross-training on various line positions
  • Role will require shift flexibility
  • Must be available to work overtime hours if needed
  • Operation is located in a manufacturing facility and attached warehouse
