Job summary

Roskam Foods, a Grand Rapids-based contract manufacturer, is seeking a Foreman to lead manufacturing operations across multiple lines and facilities. You will train staff, manage schedules, ensure packaging processes run smoothly, and maintain equipment and safety standards.

Ideal candidates have proven leadership in a manufacturing setting, strong communication skills, and a passion for driving continuous improvement while upholding quality and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Experience leading operations teams in a manufacturing plant.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Experience with food service/manufacturing a plus.

Responsibilities

• Train and coach employees.
• Manage the production schedule.
• Set up, operate, and tend to equipment that packages food products and process rework.
• Clean and sterilize equipment and factory processing areas.
• Inventory management software maintenance.
• Record production data during quality checks.
• Observe, receive, scan, and enter data from relevant sources.

Position Description and Purpose

We currently have Foreman positions available at our locations throughout Grand Rapids.

As the Foremanyou:

• Train and coach employees

• Manage the production schedule

• Set up, operate, and tend to equipment that packages food products and processing any rework that may result from equipment malfunctioning

• Clean and sterilize equipment and factory processing areas

• Inventory management software maintenance

• Record production data during quality checks

• Observing, receiving, scanning, data base entries and otherwise obtaining information from all relevant sources

Required Qualifications:

• High School diploma and/or equivalent experience

• Experience leading operations teams in a manufacturing plant

• Strong leadership and communication skills

• Professionalism and a passion for leadership

• Experience with food service/manufacturing a plus
