Job summary

Great Plains Industries, Inc. in Wichita, KS, seeks a Production Supervisor/Production Flow Coordinator (PFC) to drive daily output in the assembly area, plan and prioritize production to meet schedules, and uphold quality, safety and efficiency.

You will lead cross-functional teams, coach staff in Lean/6S, maintain KPI boards, and work with Value Stream Leaders, Process Engineers, and HR to improve productivity and training.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Lean/6S projects in Assembly with a clear understanding of the requirements of their assigned area.
• 3-5 years' experience in leading assembly manufacturing teams.
• Proven ability to work independently with self-motivation to improve production, lean and employee management skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strengths in training assembly line workers.
• Prior experience utilizing ERP/MRP systems in a manufacturing environment.
• Must have Microsoft Office experience and the ability to operate a desktop computer.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily production output in the assigned area.
• Plan, coordinate and prioritize production activities to meet schedules while maintaining quality, safety, and efficiency.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve production issues and support continuous improvement.
• Monitor KPI boards and report on production run statistics including attendance and productivity.
• Lead and mentor team members, fostering Lean/6S culture and 5S discipline.
• Ensure maintenance logs and testing requirements are followed on line equipment.
