Job summary

Elite Comfort Solutions, a Leggett & Platt Company, is seeking a Production Floater to assist in production operations and open box inspection processes. Schedule: Monday - Friday, 6am-2:30pm, with overtime as required.

Qualifications include a High School diploma or GED; manufacturing experience is preferred. You will coordinate with the supervisor, assist with material handling, use hand trucks to move materials, perform line gluing when needed, and uphold safety standards.

Job Summary

The Production Floater will assist in production operations and open box inspection processes as deemed necessary by the supervisor. (Monday - Friday, 6am-2:30pm, overtime required)

Qualifications, Knowledge, Education & Experience

Must be at least 18 years of age to perform this job. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • At the beginning of each shift coordinate with supervisor to determine what job functions are needed for the day
  • Assist with material handling, assembly, packaging, inspections, and load/unload procedures
  • Use hand trucks or buggies to move materials about the production floor
  • Perform other duties such as gluing on a production line
  • Practice good safety techniques
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Education
  • High School diploma or GED equivalent required; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience
  • Manufacturing experience is preferred but not required.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Attendance/Punctuality- Is consistently at work and on time.
  • Quality- Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness; maintains a clean and organized work environment.
  • Quantity- Meets productivity standards; Completes work in timely manner; Strives to increase productivity.
  • Safety- Observes all safety procedures and policies; Reports potentially unsafe conditions to supervisor; Uses equipment and materials properly.
  • Ability to learn multiple job functions with a willingness to tackle tasks as needed on a day-to-day basis.
  • Able to work accurately from verbal and written instructions.
