Job summary

Mill Rock Packaging in Hutchinson, MN, is seeking a Production Flex Associate in the Finishing Department to rotate across production areas, support workflow, and maintain safety standards. You will perform general labor tasks, assist with line setup, and help with documentation while adhering to OSHA and quality procedures.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in accordance with company and OSHA standards.
• Follow all safety procedures, quality standards, and work instructions.
• Accurately complete required production documentation.
• Communicate effectively with team members regarding work status, issues or concerns.
• Support continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to improve efficiency or safety.
• Perform other related duties as assigned based on business needs.

As a Production Flex Associate in the Finishing Department, you will be responsible for providing operational support across multiple production areas, filling in as needed to maintain workflow, productivity, and safety standards.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience in a manufacturing or production environment

Physical Requirements and Work Environment

Physical Demands

• Standing/Walking: Ability to stand and walk for extended periods (up to 8–12 hours per shift)
• Lifting/Carrying: Regularly lift, push/pull or move materials up to 50 lbs
• Repetitive Motions: Frequent use of hands and arms for machine operation and material handling
• Visual/Manual Requirements: Ability to read gauges, measure materials, and perform quality checks

Environmental Conditions

• Noise Level: Exposure to moderate to high noise levels; hearing protection provided
• Safety Gear: Personal protective equipment (PPE) such as safety glasses, gloves, and steel‑toe shoes required
• Other Factors: Occasional exposure to dust, ink, or chemicals used in production

Schedule & Work Hours

Monday through Friday, 8:30 am – 5:00 pm. At times start/stop times may vary.
