Applied Innovation is seeking a dependable Production Field Service Technician to support customers throughout the Detroit Metropolitan area. You will repair, maintain, and troubleshoot high-speed production equipment and serve as the face of the company in the field.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, a valid driver’s license, and strong troubleshooting and customer service skills. Canon/Ricoh certs are preferred but not required.

Job description

Applied Innovation is seeking a dependable, motivated, and customer-focused Production Field Service Technician to join our team and support customers throughout the Detroit Metropolitan area. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on problem solver who enjoys working with technology, troubleshooting complex printing equipment, and delivering exceptional customer service. Previous field service technician or technical experience is highly preferred, but specific production equipment experience is not required. Training will be provided for the right candidate. This is a Monday to Friday 8 AM - 5 PM role.

As a Production Field Service Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing high-speed production equipment while building strong relationships with our customers. You will serve as a key representative of Applied Innovation in the field and play an important role in ensuring our customers' equipment operates efficiently.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Repair, maintain, troubleshoot, and service high-speed production equipment and related accessories.
• Manage an assigned territory and provide a high level of service, responsiveness, and professionalism to customers.
• Diagnose equipment issues and identify effective solutions in a timely manner.
• Collaborate with fellow technicians and internal teams to ensure customer service needs are met.
• Maintain accurate inventory of parts, supplies, and tools.
• Complete service documentation and maintain accurate records of work performed.
• Communicate effectively with customers regarding equipment issues, repairs, and recommended solutions.
• Represent Applied Innovation professionally in every customer interaction, you are the face of our company in the field.
• Operate a company vehicle safely, responsibly, and courteously.
• Understanding and alignment with the organization’s core values.
• Other duties as assigned.

Education/License/Experience Requirements:

• Valid driver's license and a good driving record including no DUI’s in the past 5 years.
• High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical education or training is a plus.
• Previous field service or technical experience is highly preferred.
• Canon and/or Ricoh factory certifications are preferred but not required.
• Basic knowledge of print drivers and network communication is helpful.
