Job summary

Staffworks, Inc. is seeking an Industrial Custodian for our Rome, NY facility. The role requires maintaining cleanliness and safety in production areas, offices, restrooms, and common spaces.

You will work independently with minimal supervision, supporting daily facility operations and adhering to sanitation standards. The position offers a Monday–Friday schedule (7:00 AM – 3:30 PM) with a pay rate of $19.00/hour plus depending on experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous custodial or industrial cleaning experience required.
• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and safety procedures.
• Ability to operate and maintain cleaning equipment.
• Ability to work independently in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness throughout production areas, offices, restrooms, breakrooms, hallways, and common areas.
• Perform routine and deep-cleaning duties, including sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, floor care, and waste removal.
• Operate and maintain industrial cleaning equipment.
• Properly handle, store, and use cleaning chemicals and supplies.
• Independently prioritize daily cleaning tasks and maintain assigned areas.
• Identify and report cleanliness concerns, maintenance needs, and potential safety hazards.
• Monitor custodial supplies and communicate replenishment needs.
• Follow all company safety policies, sanitation procedures, and applicable regulations.
• Perform additional custodial duties as assigned.
