Job summary

The Structures Company is seeking a Production Fabricator II to perform general fabrication of aircraft interior details and sub-assemblies in a Marysville, WA area facility. You will read detailed blueprints, select appropriate materials, and fabricate components into finished assemblies with hand and air tools.

Responsibilities include trimming and finishing using aluminum trims, dec-lam, leather, and vinyl, and ensuring parts meet drawing specifications.

Qualifications

• Two years of aerospace production experience or equivalent in an aircraft fabrication environment.
• Ability to read and interpret detailed blueprints and specifications.
• Proficient with hand tools and air tools for assembly and finishing.
• Experience in trimming, finishing, and applying materials such as dec-lam, leather, rubber trim, and aluminum trims.

Summary

• Performs general fabrication of aircraft interior details and sub-assemblies.
• Fabricates detailed components and value-added tasks to detailed components.
• Fabricates components to form assemblies.
• Assists in assembly of complex structures using sub-assemblies.
• Operates various fabrication machines and equipment.
• Perform skilled tasks including trim and finish of panels or cabinets using aluminum trims, dec-lam, leather, and vinyl.
• Interprets complex blueprints to complete assemblies.
• Works under general supervision.
• Wears safety equipment and practices safety guidelines including Hazardous Materials guidelines.

Requirements

• Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).
• Minimum of two years relevant experience in an aerospace production environment.
• Ability to read blueprints and documents to specification.
• Ability to assemble multiple components per drawing.
• Ability to work with hands performing tasks such as operating air tools, edge potting panels, potting inserts in panels, riveting, and general assembly using hand tools.
• Skills in applying dec-lam, leather, rubber trim, and aluminum trims.
• Knowledge working with aluminum and Nomex materials.
• Preferred: Vocational and technical schooling.
• Preferred: General knowledge of Aerospace record keeping and related quality standards.
• Ability to work within an established and growing team and maintain high quality standards in a schedule driven environment.
