Responsibilities

• Assist Operators and Lead Operators in the manufacturing process.
• Perform hourly dimensional checks and complete associated paperwork.
• Monitor extruder lines for proper function.
• Place wood setups in the cart.
• Monitor the extruder lines to check all gauges.
• Use all measuring tools for dimensional checks on pipe.
• Follow all safety and company policies.
• Maintain a clean safe work area.
• All other duties assigned by Supervision.

Job description

The position of Operator One is non-exempt position that is required to work 12‑hour shift rotations. The Operator One will learn and assist the Operators and Lead Operators in manufacturing quality PVC Pipe safely.

Duties / Responsibilities

• Lift pipe from beller table to the pipe cart when required
• Stack pipe on to the cart
• Hourly dimensional checks and associated paperwork as well as machine readings
• Place wood setups in the cart
• Monitor the extruder lines to check all gauges
• Use all measuring tools for dimensional checks on pipe
• Follow all safety and company policies
• Maintain a clean safe work area
• All other duties assigned by Supervision

Education and Experience

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Manufacturing and forklift experience preferred

Physical Requirements

• Ability to climb, stand for long periods, bend, stoop, push and pull
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Work in both hot and cold environments as well as elements
