Job summary

Colson Group Holdings LLC is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform reactive and preventative maintenance on production equipment, including pneumatics, PLCs, robotics, and turntables. You will help develop and follow processes that support continuous improvement and safety across the facility.

The role requires hands-on troubleshooting, collaboration with multiple departments, and adherence to lean methods to optimize productivity. Overtime may be required based on project needs.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Vocational/Technical training.
  • Minimum 4 years of manufacturing experience.
  • 2 years of applicable plant maintenance experience.
  • Troubleshooting and repair across hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical, and PLC.
  • Strong cross-functional communication.
  • Proficiency with Excel and Word.
  • Forklift certification and safe forklift operation.

Responsibilities

  • Perform reactive and preventative maintenance on semi-automatic assembly equipment (pneumatics, vibratory bowls, turntables, PLCs, robotics).
  • Support the creation and sustainment of processes and procedures to promote continuous improvement.
  • Support other departments with prompt responsiveness to requests.
  • Help ensure safety standards and report safety issues.
  • Apply Lean Manufacturing tools to improve productivity.
  • Ensure Lock-Out/Tag-Out procedures are followed when servicing equipment.
  • Ability to work overtime as needed per factory hours.

Job Summary

The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for general repairs and rebuilding of production assembly equipment to promote continuous uptime of the assembly machines. Daily activities may include general machine maintenance, troubleshooting various types of equipment, as well as providing technical assistance to the production team and various departments within the business. Participate in new machine design approval and tryout process and assist with the development of prototype product. Responsibility for maintaining a safe working environment, accountability for quality of work, and task completion. Report on those activities to management in the support of company initiatives, standards, policies, and overall continuous improvement. Reports to the Manufacturing Engineer Manager or Designee.

Essential Job Functions
  • Perform reactive and preventative maintenance on semi-auto assembly equipment containing but not limited to pneumatics, vibratory bowls, turntables, PLC's, & robotics.
  • Support the creation and sustainment of processes and procedures by analyzing operating practices, record-keeping systems, forms of control, and supporting continuous improvement.
  • Support the efforts of other departments through prompt responsiveness to requests and inquiries.
  • Support company initiatives by maintaining adherence to organization standards and policies.
  • Performs tasks according to safety standards, reports all safety issues immediately.
  • Use Lean Manufacturing tools and techniques to enhance and improve productivity.
  • Ensures Lock-Out / Tag-Out procedures are followed when working on equipment.
  • Ability to work overtime as needed per factory hours and/or project completion.
  • Sitting, standing, walking, lifting and repetitive tasks throughout the day.
  • Performs other related duties and projects as assigned.
Physical Requirements

Knowledge
  • High School diploma or GED
  • Vocational/Technical training
Experience
  • Minimum 4 years of manufacturing experience.
  • 2 years of applicable plant maintenance experience.
  • Troubleshooting and repair, knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical, and PLC.
Skills
  • Strong cross functional communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word programs.
  • Complete forklift training and can operate a forklift in a safe manner.
