Job summary

New Pig Corporation is seeking a Maintenance Technician for the 1st shift (6:30 am - 3:00 pm) in Tipton, PA. You will support 1st shift production, troubleshoot equipment, and perform preventive maintenance across multiple sites using CMMS.

The role requires PLC and motor drive experience, knowledge of hydraulic/pneumatic systems, and the ability to read CAD drawings. A safety-first mindset and willingness to work OT/weekends are expected.

Qualifications

• 3 years related experience in production maintenance environment.
• Motor drive and PLC tech level experience; Certifications a plus.
• Experience with Allen-Bradley (Rockwell Automation) and industrial power systems.
• Hydraulic and pneumatic power systems knowledge.
• Familiarity with maintenance shop tools (micrometers, calipers, tape measure).
• Experience reading design drawings; ability to read CAD drawings.
• MS Office - Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Willingness to seek training/certifications related to the position.

Responsibilities

• Support 1st shift production troubleshooting and repair to keep equipment safe and properly functioning.
• Perform preventive maintenance on equipment at multiple locations coordinated via CMMS.
• Enter PMs, repairs and reports into CMMS for record keeping and metrics.
• Collaborate with maintenance professionals to meet output, quality and financial goals.
• Ensure machine uptimes align with production schedules and quality requirements.
• Install, maintain, test, troubleshoot and repair electrical equipment and related controls.
• Install power distribution equipment including sub panels and wiring.
• Troubleshoot and maintain PLCs, drives, relays, networks and machine control systems.
• Maintain mechanical systems such as motors and gearboxes.
• Manage critical spare parts inventory to ensure availability.
• Assist Manufacturing Engineering by fabricating, debugging and installing custom equipment via machining centers, plasma cutting and welding.
• Contribute to development and maintenance of maintenance training programs.
• Facilitate lean manufacturing implementations to reduce waste.

Responsibilities:

Production Maintenance

• Support 1st shift production as needed to troubleshoot and repair equipment back to a safe and proper working condition
• Perform regularly scheduled Preventive Maintenance on equipment at multiple locations in coordination with the CMMS
• Interact with CMMS via PM's, repairs and reporting information into the system for record keeping, tracking and measures
• Integrate with other maintenance professionals in support of multi-shift production operation to achieve output, quality and financial performance goals and objectives
• Ensure machine uptimes and process capabilities will meet quality and production schedules
• Install, maintain, test, troubleshoot and repair industrial electrical equipment and associated electrical and electronic controls
• Installation of power distribution equipment as needed including sub panels, conduit, wiring, etc
• Troubleshoot and maintain complex machine control systems including drives, relays, machine network, and PLC systems
• Troubleshoot and maintain mechanical systems such as motors, gearboxes, and other power transmission systems
• Participate in the management of critical spare parts inventory to ensure availability as needed
• Support Manufacturing Engineering by fabricating, debugging and installing custom designed equipment via the use of machining centers (lathes, milling machines, drill presses), plasma cutting, welding and other equipment.
• Aid in the development and maintain maintenance training programs
• Lean Manufacturing - Facilitate and support the deployment of lean manufacturing techniques on all projects in support of lean culture and elimination of 8 wastes
