Job summary

Germfree is seeking a Production Equipment Electrical Assembler in Ormond Beach, FL. You will build and test electrical assemblies for finished products in a four-day workweek, ten hours per day, within a production environment.

The role requires reading electrical schematics, using measuring instruments, and ensuring safety and quality in manufacturing. 0–2 years' related experience eligible, and overtime may be required.

Job Title: Production Equipment Electrical Assembler

Reports to: Standard Equipment Supervisor

Location: 4 Sunshine Blvd, Ormond Beach, FL 32174

Work Schedule: Full-time, in a production environment, four days a week, 10 hours a day

Job Overview: You’ll be part of the leading experts in environment that pride themselves on grit, integrity, ownership, and innovation. Germfree pride themselves on engineering and developing innovative solutions that make an impact out in the real world. You will build and test electrical assemblies for use in finished products.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Test function of all electrical components to ensure working as specific under normal operating conditions, using measuring instruments
• Correct any functional deviations and re-test
• Other reasonably-related duties

Required Skills and Abilities:

• Professional manner
• Ability to operate basic hand and power tools as well as a hand jack
• Physical abilities: hearing; seeing; lifting, pushing and pulling between 50-75 pounds; crouching; bending; twisting; kneeling; squatting; crawling; walking; standing for long periods; reaching in all directions; balancing; holding, grasping and manipulating very small objects; hand/eye coordination; use safety ladder; climbing; tolerate varying ranges of temperature in a Shop environment.
• Good oral communication skills
• Basic reading and comprehension skills; ability to write legibly
• Ability to understand and follow instructions
• Detail and quality-results oriented
• Ability to read and understand blueprints
• Ability to use and read measuring instruments accurately in both U.S. Standard and Metric
• Awareness of general safety principles in a Shop environment
• Reliable transportation to work
• Ability to complete tasks working with others and independently
• Work overtime as required

Preferred Skills and Abilities:

• Active Driver's License helpful

Education and Experience:

• High School/GED
• Familiar with reading and understanding electrical schematics. Knowledge of electrical principles and theory; use of electrical measuring instruments;
• 0-2 year's relevant experience depending on level of job functions.

Supervision Required: Medium- Ability to work independently or with others to complete tasks on schedule.
