Job summary

Germfree in Ormond Beach, FL is seeking a skilled welder to join our team. You will permanently join stainless steel components for use in finished products, using TIG welding equipment and techniques, and grind and polish to a pharmaceutical-grade finish.

Responsibilities include reading blueprints or work orders, cutting, fabricating, and welding stainless steel, aluminum, and steel; producing high-quality welds; using hand tools, tape measures, fixtures, jigs, and clamps; and performing

Job Overview

You will permanently join stainless steel parts/components for use in finished products using TIG welding equipment and techniques. Grind and polish to a pharmaceutical-grade finish.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Work from blueprints, work orders, and specifications, in addition to following verbal instructions


• Cut, fabricate, and weld stainless steel, aluminum, and steel


• Produce high-quality welds on stainless steel using welding equipment and techniques to make or repair metal forms or objects


• Utilize hand tools, a tape measure, fixtures, jigs, and clamps for small welding jobs


• Other reasonably related duties

Required Skills and Abilities

• Professional manner


• Ability to weld in various positions, including overhead


• Ability to operate basic hand and power tools


• Good oral communication skills


• Basic reading and comprehension skills; ability to write legibly


• Ability to understand and follow instructions

• Ability to read and understand blueprints


• Ability to use and read measuring instruments accurately in both U.S. Standard and Metric


• Awareness of general safety principles in a Shop environment, in addition to welding safety and personal

• Physical abilities: hearing; seeing; lifting, pushing and pulling between 50-75 pounds; crouching; bending, twisting; kneeling; squatting; crawling; walking; standing for long periods; reaching in all directions; balancing, holding, grasping and manipulating very small objects; hand/eye coordination; level of ambidexterity; use safety ladder; climbing; lay on a mechanic’s creeper and move about while performing tasks with tools; tolerate varying ranges of temperature inside and outside of a Shop environment.

Education and Experience

• Experience with reading and understanding blueprints or sketches


• Knowledge of and experience in MIG welding, stainless steel, and aluminum, use of hand and power tools


• 1-year relevant experience, dependent on the level of job function. Experienced in stainless steel fabrication, tight tolerances and specifications, use of lathe, shear and brake press helpful.
