Actalent in Greensboro, NC is seeking a hands-on, engineering-driven Operations Manager to lead manufacturing operations in our production facility. You will optimize production processes, improve equipment performance, and drive operational excellence with a strong focus on safety, quality, and efficiency.

You will collaborate with Engineering, Maintenance, Quality, Supply Chain and Leadership to improve performance, reduce variability, and implement sustainable improvements.

The role requires strong technical leadership, data‑driven decision‑making, and close collaboration with cross‑functional teams to achieve production objectives and support continuous improvement initiatives.

This individual will be responsible for optimizing production processes, improving equipment performance, driving operational excellence, and ensuring the highest standards of safety, quality, and efficiency. The role requires strong technical leadership, data‑driven decision‑making, and close collaboration with cross‑functional teams to achieve production objectives and support continuous improvement initiatives. The Operations Manager will partner closely with Engineering, Maintenance, Quality, Supply Chain, and Leadership teams to enhance manufacturing performance, increase equipment reliability, reduce process variation, and drive sustainable operational improvements across the facility.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead daily manufacturing operations with a focus on process optimization, operational efficiency, and production reliability.


• Provide technical leadership and development for production supervisors and frontline personnel.


• Drive continuous improvement initiatives utilizing Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Root Cause Analysis, and other operational excellence methodologies.


• Analyze and improve key performance indicators (KPIs), including Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), throughput, downtime, yield, scrap, and labor utilization.


• Collaborate with Engineering and Maintenance teams to improve equipment reliability, preventive maintenance programs, and asset performance.


• Identify and eliminate production constraints, process inefficiencies, and operational bottlenecks through systematic problem‑solving.

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Greensboro, NC.

Pay And Benefits

The pay range for this position is $75000.00 - $85000.00/yr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job‑related factors.
