Site Reliability Engineering | Production Engineering | Software Engineering

My client is a leading quantitative trading firm bringing together exceptional Software Engineers, Computer Scientists and Technologists to develop some of the most sophisticated technology in the financial markets.

They are looking to expand their Site Reliability Engineering function with strong, software-focused engineers who enjoy solving complex technical challenges across large-scale distributed systems, Linux infrastructure and performance-critical production environments.

The firm places a strong emphasis on applying software engineering principles to infrastructure and reliability, with engineers developing automation, internal tooling and scalable solutions to improve system performance, resilience and operational efficiency.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or STEM related subject
• Strong programming proficiency in Python, C++, Go, Java or similar languages, with solid software engineering fundamentals.
• Excellent knowledge of Linux, including operating systems, networking, debugging and performance analysis.
• Experience with distributed systems, large-scale production environments or complex infrastructure.
• Understanding of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, DNS and related protocols.
• Experience developing automation tooling and applying software engineering principles to infrastructure challenges.
• Familiarity with technologies such as Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform, Ansible or similar.
• Strong problem-solving skills and an interest in understanding complex systems at a deeper technical level.

Previous experience within quantitative trading or financial services is not required.
