Job summary

Perrigo Company plc in Kentwood, MI is seeking a Production Engineer to support process improvements and capital expenditures in our Oral Care facility. You will develop plant layouts, support new product launches, and lead time studies to establish labor standards.

The role requires 3–5 years of engineering experience, CAD proficiency, and familiarity with FDA/ISO/QS regulatory requirements. Strong Lean and continuous improvement mindset is essential.

Qualifications

• Formal engineering degree in a relevant field with 3–5 years experience.
• Experience with CAD software and plant layout development.
• Knowledge of FDA/ISO/QS regulatory requirements for products.

Responsibilities

• Manage projects on process improvements and capital expenditures, including justification and installation of capital equipment.
• Develop and maintain plant layouts, support new product launches, suggest process flow improvements, and provide engineering support for maintenance and equipment.
• Perform time studies related to development and implementation of new or existing processes.
• Lead continuous improvement projects and develop work cells for cost reduction.
• Provide engineering leadership for maintenance and equipment and troubleshoot electrical and machine controls.
