Job summary

Perrigo in Holland, MI seeks a Production Engineer to provide technical solutions for operations, collaborating with engineering, quality, and manufacturing teams to improve safety, quality, and efficiency. You will review 24-hour production data, lead continuous improvement projects, and manage capital projects from scope to start-up, including URS, FAT, IQ, OQ, PQ.

Bachelor's in engineering required; strong knowledge of lean, Six Sigma, DMAIC, and ability to read drawings and schematics is

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Manufacturing or Engineering Management.
• Understanding of engineering theoretical fundamentals of equipment operation and standard principles.
• Ability to read and understand drawings, flowcharts, schematics as it relates to system design.
• Demonstrated understanding of lean principles and six sigma processes, including experience with continuous improvement techniques.

Responsibilities

• Review the previous 24 hours of production data on designated work centers and address urgent business needs.
• Lead continuous improvement projects aimed at waste reduction and efficiency improvements.
• Organize and generate data for project scopes, cost estimates, economic justifications, and capital requests; support equipment installations and process improvements.
