Job summary

Veralto Corporation’s Fort Collins operation seeks an experienced Production Engineer II to drive continuous improvement across manufacturing processes. You’ll partner with Operations, Quality, and Supply Chain to reduce waste, improve safety, and enhance production flow on site.

You will analyze data, lead root-cause investigations, and implement corrective actions to raise efficiency and product quality, with opportunities for career growth within Veralto’s global network.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Manufacturing Engineering or related field.
  • 4+ years solving manufacturing or production problems in a cross-functional environment.
  • Experience applying Lean, CI, and root-cause methodologies in manufacturing.

Responsibilities

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance safety, quality, delivery, and efficiency.
  • Identify and resolve manufacturing, quality, and material issues affecting output.

About the Opportunity

Reporting to the Production Engineering Manager, the Production Engineer II plays a key role in improving manufacturing performance across our Fort Collins operation. This position is ideal for an engineer who enjoys being close to manufacturing operations, solving production challenges, and driving meaningful process improvements.

You’ll partner with Operations, Quality, Supply Chain, and Manufacturing teams to improve safety, quality, delivery, and cost performance while helping create a culture of continuous improvement throughout the facility. If you enjoy identifying root causes, eliminating waste, improving production flow, and making measurable operational impact, this role offers an excellent opportunity to grow your career in manufacturing engineering.

This position is part of the Production Engineering team located in Fort Collins, Colorado and will be onsite. In this role, a typical day will look like:

  • Driving continuous improvement initiatives that improve safety, quality, delivery, and operational efficiency.
  • Supporting production operations by identifying and resolving manufacturing, quality, and material-related issues that impact output.
  • Leading root cause investigations and implementing sustainable corrective actions that improve long‑term process performance.
  • Designing and improving production cells, fixtures, and manufacturing workflows to increase reliability and throughput.
  • Partnering with Operations, Quality, Maintenance, and Supply Chain teams to eliminate waste and improve manufacturing performance.
  • Supporting Material Review Board (MRB) activities and defect reduction initiatives.
  • Managing equipment calibration activities to ensure consistent product quality and measurement accuracy.
  • Contributing to productivity and gross margin improvement projects that reduce manufacturing costs and improve operational results.
Essential Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
  • 4+ years of experience solving manufacturing, production, or product‑related problems within a cross‑functional environment.
  • Experience applying Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, and root cause analysis methodologies in a manufacturing setting.
  • Demonstrated experience analyzing manufacturing data and implementing corrective actions that improve process performance.
  • Experience supporting production operations, manufacturing processes, or production equipment in a manufacturing environment.
Nice to Have
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt, Black Belt, or equivalent certification.
  • Experience facilitating Kaizen events and value stream mapping activities.
  • Familiarity with Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) methodologies.
  • Experience supporting MRB processes and quality management systems.
  • Experience with fixture design, production cell design, or manufacturing tooling.
  • Exposure to calibration systems and manufacturing test equipment.

The below range reflects the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future. The compensation range for this role is $80,000 - $95,000 USD per year. This job is also eligible for Bonus Pay. We offer a comprehensive package of benefits including paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance and 401(k) to eligible employees.
