Job Description

Job Purpose:

The Production Engineer is responsible for improving productivity and profit at the plant, driving quality improvements through root cause analysis, ensuring products are manufactured in compliance with customer specifications, safety standards, and design specifications.

Responsibilities include the following: (other duties may be assigned as needed)

1. Implementation of processes including equipment procurement, coordination of installation, process capability prove-out, training, process documentation, and production start-up.
2. Contribute to the product introduction process with respect to cost estimation, process investigation, schedule development, product validation, and testing.
3. Maintain and modify machines for new vehicles.
4. Review production problems as they are identified and implement solutions.
5. Work closely with Manufacturing Engineers, Production Managers, and other departments to implement processes and equipment.
6. Collaborate with the maintenance team to troubleshoot machine problems and develop preventive maintenance programs.
7. Coordinate with production and quality teams to ensure target production and quality goals are achieved.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related majors.
• Tooling and fixture design experience.
• Experience with robotics and industrial controls.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in the automotive industry.
• Bilingual in Korean and English.

Technical Competencies:

• Mandatory skills in drawing interpretation, jig & fixture design, and pneumatic systems understanding.
• Experience with Six Sigma and Mini-tap.
• Proficient in MS Office and AutoCAD; ability to read and interpret blueprints and work instructions.
