Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree in CAD or engineering with emphasis on design drafting.
• Bachelor degree in engineering preferred.
• 3+ years technical work in a manufacturing/engineering office environment.
• Proficient in AutoCAD 2010 or newer.
• Proficient in MS Excel with ability to learn other software.
• Autodesk Inventor knowledge a plus.
• Proficient in reading and interpreting project specs, drawings, and mechanical parts/assembly drawings.
• Ability to learn detailed information about a large number of products.
• Mechanical aptitude.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Interact with customers to ensure engineering needs are understood.
• Updated orders to meet job specific requirements through a CPQ system.
• Review and interpret specifications, sketches and layout drawings.
• Review governing code authorities to ensure products meet required code criteria.
• Perform complex engineering calculations as necessary.
• Prepare detailed assembly and part drawings for fabrication.
• Trouble shoot products and components through phone and e-mail to help customers resolve issues in the field.
• Direct and support service technicians in the field by shipping components or locating information.
• Support all other departments as necessary.
• Other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
