The role focuses on process safety, quality, and efficiency with close collaboration across engineering, maintenance, and production teams.

The candidate will lead safety analy ses (PHA/HAZOP), support automation and control systems, and drive continuous improvement while ensuring compliance with PSM and MOC.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering.
• 3+ years in chemical manufacturing or processing.
• Experience with batch processes and automation.
• Familiar with PSM/MOC and hazard analyses.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate chemical manufacturing and batch processes and implement improvements to productivity and costs.
• Apply statistical methods to monitor performance, quality issues, and regulatory compliance.
• Create SOPs and related production documentation.
• Provide technical support to Process Engineering and maintenance teams.
• Lead JSO, PHA, and HAZOP studies as operations representative.
• Identify process optimization and cost-reduction initiatives while maintaining quality.
• Investigate nonconforming products with root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Collaborate with maintenance to troubleshoot equipment and processes.
• Maintain plant capacity and production data, including safety and training info.
• Support annual plant maintenance shutdown activities.
