Job description

Responsibilities

• Production Engineering: Generate project specific submittals for customer support Create Bills Of Materials, including parent and child part codes Ensure compliance with industry regulations, standards, and environmental requirements. Monitor production progress and provide necessary assistance to address any issues with the interpretation of drawings.
• Cost Estimation: Validate the existence of equipment capabilities, material availability, and necessary skill sets to manufacture the project Prepare detailed cost estimates for production projects, including labor, materials, and overhead costs. Analyze project specifications, drawings, and other documentation to create accurate estimates. Review and adjust estimates based on project changes and updates.

Qualifications (education, experience, skills)

• B.S. Degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering.
• 0-3 years of engineering experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
• Familiarity with basic engineering principles and strong mathematical ability; solid understanding of geometry and trigonometry is required.
• Experience and proficiency with Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office Suite is required.
• Working knowledge in computer aided design/drawing software such as SolidWorks and/or AutoCAD is required.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Detail oriented and analytical.
• Quick learner and self‑motivated; possess ability to promptly accomplish tasks with minimal supervision.
• Familiarity with AWWA specifications, ASTM standards and/or ASME boiler & pressure vessel code as relevant to the piping and coupling industry would be beneficial.
• Should possess a general knowledge of steel fabrication techniques and properties of materials.
• Familiarity with database management would be beneficial.
