Job summary

Syensqo is seeking a Production Engineer in Marietta, OH to support the Udel production department by troubleshooting daily operations and monitoring unit performance. You will drive improvements to site utilities, document processes, and contribute to safety, reliability, and cost goals.

Ideal candidates have a chemical engineering background with 0–3 years of experience and strong analytical, communication, and teamwork skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or equivalent.
• 0–3 years of experience in chemical manufacturing preferred.
• Technical knowledge of chemical plant unit operations and processes.
• Ability to lead and collaborate in problem-solving and root-cause investigation.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Monitor day-to-day performance of site utilities and track OEE.
• Develop, propose, and follow up on process and facility improvements (cost, productivity, quality, HSE, reliability).
• Manage improvements to site utility systems and maintain documentation.
• Support budget proposals and utility construction projects as needed.
• Provide technical training support and generate reports from analysis.

Develop, propose, implement and/or follow up on process and facility improvements involved in ongoing operations (variable cost, productivity, quality, HSE, reliability, maintenance...)* Manage the implementation of improvements to site utility systems.* Develop and maintain written documentation about the ongoing utilities processes and the facilities.* Follow up technological developments within own domain of expertise through a network of technological informants* Provide support in development of budget proposals. Provide support to the utility construction projects.* Assist with preparation and when appropriate; delivery, of technical training for employees* Track, document ,analysis and prepare reports for OEE. Actual compensation will be determined based on a variety of factors unique to each candidate, such as skills, experience, qualifications, etc. and can ultimately be more or less than the posted salary range.
