Job summary

Piedmont Composites & Tooling, a fiberglass manufacturing company in Taylorsville, NC, is seeking production staff with no prior experience required. We provide in-house training and offer health, vision, and dental benefits from day one, plus a 401(k) match after one year.

Responsibilities include moving molds, preparing surfaces, handling fiberglass and resin, and supporting sub-assembly. Lifting up to 50 lbs and background checks are required; valid NC driver’s license required.

Qualifications

• Must be physically able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform repetitive tasks.
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test and background check.
• Must have a valid North Carolina driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Move molds from the Gel-coat area to other departments as needed.
• Clean and prep molds for production use.
• Roll chopped fiberglass to remove air pockets.
• Insert fiberglass sheets and inject with resin in molds.
• Demold finished parts and assist with sub-assembly as needed.
• Potentially spray gel-coat during production.

Job description

Piedmont Composites & Tooling is looking to expand our Production staff. No previous experience is required! We do all our own training in-house.

The hours for this position could fluctuate between the hours of 5am - 4:30pm depending on production schedule.

Job Description:

• Pushing molds from the Gel-coat booth to different departments after they are gel coated


• Clean and prepare molds for use


• Roll chopped fiberglass as it is applied to remove air pockets


• Insert fiberglass sheets into mold and inject with resin


• De-mold (remove part from mold)


• Assist with sub-assembly of products as needed


• Potential opportunity to spray gel-coat


• Eligible for health (starting at $44/week), vision, and dental benefits starting first day of hire


• Up to 3% match on 401k contributions after 1 year


• Paid holidays


• Accrual of one week of vacation per year

Requirements:

• Must be able to pass a drug test and disclose anything that would turn up on a background check


• Must have valid NC driver's license


• Must be 18 years or older


• Must be able to lift 50 lbs., push molds around the plant, and bend over molds to insert fiberglass accurately
