Job summary

Piedmont Composites & Tooling in Taylorsville, NC is hiring for entry-level fiberglass manufacturing roles. No previous experience required; we provide in-house training. Pay starts at $20 per hour with benefits from day one, plus a 4-day work week (Mon–Thu) and 1-year 401(k) match eligibility after employment.

Candidates must pass a drug test and background check. Roles include mold preparation, fiberglass insertion and resin injection, de-molding, polishing, sanding, and chopping

Qualifications

• Must be able to pass a drug test and background check.
• Must have a valid NC driver's license.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• Must be able to work on your feet.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs., push molds around the plant, and bend over molds to insert fiberglass accurately.

Responsibilities

• Clean and prepare molds for use.
• Insert fiberglass sheets into mold and inject with resin.
• De-mold (remove part from mold).
• Use buffers to polish fiberglass products.
• Use a D/A (dual action) sander to sand out imperfections.
• Learn how to chop fiberglass onto molds with the chopper gun, managing weight and thickness per part specifications.
• Roll chopped fiberglass as it is applied to remove air pockets.

Job description

Piedmont Composites & Tooling is growing! No previous experience is required! We do all our own training in-house.

$20/hr.

Job Descriptions:

• Clean and prepare molds for use
• Insert fiberglass sheets into mold and inject with resin

De-mold (remove part from mold)

• Use buffers to polish fiberglass products

Use a D/A ("dual action" / orbital) sander to sand out imperfections

Learn how to chop fiberglass onto molds, by using the chopper gun, managing weight and thickness per part specifications

• Roll chopped fiberglass as it is applied to remove air pockets
• Eligible for health (starting at $44/week), vision, and dental benefits starting day 1
• Up to 3% match on 401k contributions after 1 year
• Paid Holidays
• Accrual of one week of vacation per year
• 4 day work week (Mon.- Thurs.)
