Reynolds Consumer Products LLC in Richmond, VA is hiring for a Production Crew Member to operate a bag making line, inspect quality, and maintain line conditions. The role requires following instructions, reading gauges, estimating sizes, and performing simple arithmetic.

Qualifications

• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Experience with packaging lines is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate bag making line equipment.
• Inspect/perform tests for seal integrity and product specs.
• Set up bag making line and adjust operating conditions.
• Safely operate hand and forklift trucks when needed.
• Perform general housekeeping and cross-train as needed.
• Support management with additional tasks.

*12hr Shift 2/2/3 Schedule*

Responsibilities

Your Role:

As a Production Crew Member, you will be responsible for the quality and productivity in the operation of a bag making line consisting of a bag machine, cartoner, case packer & palletizer, which produces various sizes of finished nylon cooking bags.

You will have the opportunity to Make Great Things Happen!

• Safely operate bag machine, cartoner, case packing machine & palletizer and log machine activity.
• Inspect/perform tests for quality issues related to seal integrity, legible print, finished product dimensions, and other critical properties.
• Set-up bag making line and maintain log, determine operating conditions, make adjustments and correct malfunctions.
• Safely operate hand and fork truck when needed
• Perform other crew member functions deemed necessary by management.
• Perform general housekeeping.
• Willingness to cross train to advance skills

Requirements

We need you to have:

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Safety - Understand and carry out oral instructions; read and carry out written instructions.
• Ability to retain and act on oral instructions.
• Ability to observe and read instruments gauges, dials and make adjustments.
• Ability to estimate size and quantity of objects.
• Ability to constantly observe for quality defects as well as subtle problems with machine.
• Ability to make simple arithmetic calculations.
• Ability to work with minimal or no supervision.

Icing on the cake:

• Experience with packaging lines, films, etc
• Previous manufacturing experience.
