• Manipulate controls to regulate speed and direction of crane and hoist movement.
• Ensure correct materials are placed properly for production.
• Sort finished material for movement to other departments.

Responsibilities

• Operate a traveling or stationary overhead crane to lift, move, and position loads using hoisting attachments such as hooks and slings.
• Observe load hookup and determine the safety of the load.
• Manipulate or depress crane controls to regulate speed and direction of crane and hoist movement.
• Ensure the correct materials are placed in the correct position for placement onto the production line.
• Sorting of finished material and movement to other departments in the manufacturing facility may also be required.
