Job Summary

The Soil Counter/Sorter handles, counts, sorts, and records incoming soiled textiles, identifies damaged textiles, and transfers textiles to other departments. Performs additional tasks as needed.

Essential Functions

• Open bags of soiled textiles and sort by type, size, and color.
• Count textiles manually or electronically and transfer to sorting systems.
• Identify and record damaged textiles.
• Meet efficiency and safety standards.
• Follow supervisory instructions.

Additional Functions

• Assist in other production positions as needed.

Qualifications

• Ability to recognize colors and sizes, and count accurately.
• Ability to understand and follow directions.

Physical and Environmental Requirements

• Stand, walk, reach, push, pull, grasp, lift up to 50 lbs, and stoop.
• Work in a production environment with varying temperatures, odors, humidity, lint, and dust.

Schedule & Education

• Availability on weekdays and weekends.
• No specific educational requirements.
